Mrs. Rebecca Medford Anthony, age 79, of 252 Vernon Foster Road, Union, widow of Carlie Anthony, Sr., passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Anthony was born August 31, 1947, in Union, a daughter of the late Arville Medford and Virginia “Dutch” Miller Medford. She was a graduate of Union High School and the University of South Carolina Union. Mrs. Anthony retired from Nestlé, where she served as an accountant. She also previously owned and operated Anthony Tax Services. Mrs. Anthony was a member of Faith Community Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mindy Anthony and her wife, Tracy, of the home; and three granddaughters, Emma Campbell, Lexi Campbell, and Harmony Armstrong. She was predeceased by a son, Carlie Gene Anthony, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Faith Community Church, conducted by Rev. Eric Medford.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
