Rebecca G. Hyatt

Mrs. Rebecca Gibson "Becky" Hyatt, age 74, of 128 Duncan Ave., widow of Robert E. "Bobby" Hyatt, Sr., passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Hyatt was born in Union, September 20, 1948, a daughter of the late Ed and Lillie Ruth Palmer Gibson. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Cecil's Business College. Mrs. Hyatt retired from Milliken and Co.  She was a faithful member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she was a member of Mission Friends and Amazing Grace Ministries. She also was a Vacation Bible School worker and worked in the Nursery of the church.

Surviving are three sons, Robert E. "Bob" Hyatt, Jr. and wife Amy of Easley, Thad Hyatt and Matt Hyatt both of Buffalo; two sisters, Pam Shetley of Inman and Cindi Kendrick of Buffalo; two brothers, Steve Gibson and wife Carolyn and Eddie Gibson and wife Bonnie all of Union and four grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Nolen and Emma Hyatt.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 1, 2023 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Doug Estes. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.
