Richard Wayne Barnes

Mr. Richard Wayne "Richie" Barnes, age 50, of 127 Lee Spelts Rd., Buffalo, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Mr. Barnes was born in Union, September 1, 1971, a son of Jackie Barnes of Buffalo and the late Joanne Lipsey Barnes. He was a graduate of Union High School and had previously worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice. Mr. Barnes was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.

Surviving is one daughter, Anna Maria Barnes of Buffalo; a son, Nathan Ross Barnes of Buffalo; a brother, Jeffery Neil Barnes and wife Nicole of Gaffney; a niece, Holli Barnes; two nephews, Cash and Christian Barnes all of Gaffney; a special aunt, with whom he made his home, Janice Carter of Buffalo. Extended family members include Melinda Haney, Misty Heatherly, Christy Taylor; his former wife, Shanon F. Barnes; and his mother-in-law, Rita Fuggle of Buffalo.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. The family will be at their respective homes.
