Richard Douglas Eaves

Mr. Richard Douglas Eaves, age 62, husband of Patricia Cole Eaves of 493 Bruce O. Wilson Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Mr. Eaves was born in Union, SC February 16, 1956, a son of the late James Douglas Eaves, Jr. and Grace West Eaves. He was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed with Cedar Hill. Mr. Eaves was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters: Jennifer Barber and Joey Edwards, Andrea Davis and husband Corey, Dawn Sorrell and husband Ken and Lori Elder and husband Jeff; two sisters: Carol E. Knox and Rhonda E. Mayes and husband Charles; eight grandchildren: Blair "BB" Edwards, Cole Davis, Bailey Davis, Abby Elder, Macey Elder, Josh Sorrell, Nathan Sorrell and Kaylee Sorrell, a great-granddaughter, Myla Sorrell and his beloved dog, Comet. Mr. Eaves was predeceased by a grandson, Hayden Elder. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 3, 2018 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Robert Scott. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the graveside following the service. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Jennifer Barber, 214 Hillcrest Drive, Union, SC 29379.
