Richard Wayne Harris, Sr.

Mr. Richard Wayne Harris, age 68, husband of Angela Loecke "Angie" Harris of 115 Fairview Street, Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Union Medical Center. Mr. Harris was born in Brevard, NC May 18, 1947, a son of the late Gene Carrol Harris and Alice Holden Harris. He was a Veteran of the US Army for eight years as a Medic and was stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA. for many years. Mr. Harris was a member of the American Legion. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Sara Jane Karki of Minnesota; a son, Christopher Thomas Harris of N.C.; two sisters: Linda H. Littlejohn and husband Joe Ed of Buffalo and Faye Davis of Union. Mr. Harris was predeceased by a son, Richard Wayne Harris, Jr and a brother, Gene Harris, Jr. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, January 29, 2016 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Wayne Cooke. Visitation will be held 11:00-12:00 in the chapel prior to the service Memorials may be made to Christian Children's Fund, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294. The family is at the home, 115 Fairview Street, Jonesville.
