Richard Kinney

March 24, 2017 Mr. Richard Kinney, age 93, widower of Daisy Davis Kinney of Martha Franks Nursing Center in Laurens, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kinney was born in Warren, PA, September 12, 1923, a son of the late Alfred Russell Kinney and Edith Evelyn Creamer Kinney. He received his master degree in business from Georgia State University and was a retired accountant. Mr. Kinney retired as an auditor for the International Mission Board and was formerly employed with the Internal Revenue Service. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Laurens. Surviving are a brother, George Sandifer of NC and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kinney was predeceased by four brothers. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Rickey Letson and Rev. Russell Dean.
