Rita F. Smith

Mrs. Rita Jean Fowler Smith, age 69, of 601 Forest St., Jonesville, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at the Union Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was born in Union, July 25, 1952, a daughter of the late Grady Cole Fowler and Betty McCullough Horne. She was retired from Newberry Hospital as a surgical technician and after retirement continued to care for her family members. She was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church and was a very caring and giving person.

She is survived by her "husband" of 39 years, Steve Beatrice of the home; a son Kenneth Smith and wife Crystal of Union; a sister, Amy Fowler Henderson of Pacolet; two brothers, Ronald Fowler of Jonesville and Dennis Kirby of Union; two grandsons, Dillion Smith and Wesley Cole Smith and two great-grandchildren, Jayden Smith and Audrey Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, February 18, 2022 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening, February 17, 2022 at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville.

The family will be at their respective homes.
