Robert Grady Austin, Sr.

Mr. Robert Grady Austin, Sr., age 71, husband of Karen Whitlock Austin, of 184 Lovers Lane Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Union Medical Center.

Mr. Austin was born January 21, 1951, in Union, a son of the late Fincher and Zena Mae Austin Estes.  He was retired from the City of Union—Street Department. Mr. Austin was a member of Faith Community Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife are six children, Robert Austin, Jr., of Union Christopher Lee Austin and wife Bouakeo of Moore, Julie Pucket Woods, Christopher Keisler, Crystal Bramlett and husband James, and Tiffany Tumax all of Union; a sister, Diane Beard of Union; grandchildren include Damian, Hunter, Megan, Yana, Trinity, James, Bella, CJ, Jonas, Sophi, and Chloe; great-grandchildren include Issiah, Lucas, Nathaniel, and Olivia; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Carroll Austin and Harold Austin and a sister, Delitha Austin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Faith Community Church conducted by the Rev. Steven McAbee.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be CJ Keisler, Chris Edwards, Jason Austin, Christopher Cody, Brandon Cody, and Donnie McAbee.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
