Mr. Robert Allen "Bob" Garner, age 60, husband of Lisa Lipsey Garner of 1015 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy, Union, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Garner was born in Union, June 25, 1954, a son of Kedrick and Rebecca Little Garner of Jonesville. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was employed with his father at Union Power and Equipment in sales and repair of boats, outboard motors, tractors and power equipment for fifty-four years. He was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. Mr. Garner was a hardworking, honest man with the heart the size of Texas. He loved his family and numerous friends. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a daughter, Jennifer Wilkins of the home; grandsons: R.J. Wilkins, Alex Wilkins and Will Wilkins; two brothers, Bill Garner of Jonesville and David Garner of Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Garner was predeceased by a brother, Richard Garner. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2015 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Alan West. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jake Black, John Garner, Dickie Fowler, Matthew Duckett, Robbie Smith, Christopher Garner and Kevin Garner. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday evening at SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Joy Baptist Church, 657 Pea Ridge Hwy, Jonesville, SC 29353. The family is at the home of his parents, Kedrick and Rebecca Garner, 185 Deerhaven Rd., Jonesville.
