Mr. Robert Earl "Bud" Mabry, Jr., age 66, husband of Nancy Mitchell Mabry, passed away, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Mr. Mabry was born in Spartanburg, June 18, 1959, a son of Betty Brock Mabry and the late Robert Earl Mabry, Sr.
He was a graduate of Dorman High School and attended Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Mabry retired from Frito-Lay Inc. where he delivered throughout Union for many years and made many lifelong friendships. Following retirement, he focused on his passion for antiques which lead him to being an auctioneer with Justin Does Antiques and Estates LLC, there he was known as an "Antique Archaeologist". He also served on the Union County Museum Board and was a member of the Show-N-Shine Car Club where he was serving as president. Mr. Mabry was also a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where he had served as a Sunday school teacher assistant and Awana Teacher. He was a member of the Union County Historical Society where he served as a board member, and he also served as the committee chairman of the Cross Keys House. Mr. Mabry also was a Mason and Shiner.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 38 years and his mother are four special nephews, Paul Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell, Samuel Mitchell and Matthew Mitchell; a special brother-in-law, Dell Mitchell and wife, Leigh; and his mother-in-law, Shirley Mitchell. He was predeceased by a brother, Christopher Mark Mabry.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Norman Band, Rev. Tyler West, Rev. Scott Cobb and Rev. Jeff Farmer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers will be Ken Lee, Larry Munn, Dennis Lawson, Tim Plemmons, Mark Nicholson and Eddie Goings. Honorary Pallbearers his special friends, Jamie Cannup, Ronnie Fowler, Justin Gray and Randall Boulware.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the S.R Holcombe Funeral Home.
The family will be at his mother's home.
