Mr. Robert James DeHart, age 88, husband of Esther Belue DeHart, of 107 Pineview Rd., Union, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 7, 2026, at his home.

Mr. DeHart was born July 14, 1938, in Tampa, Florida, the son of the late Robert Bevis and Kellie Robinson Bevis. He was a self-employed welder. Mr. DeHart was a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where he had served in many different aspects of the church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 70 years are two sons, Timothy Wayne DeHart and wife Diane of Union and David Michael DeHart of Union; three grandchildren, Melissa DeHart Gentry and husband Robbie, Matthew DeHart, and Jessica DeHart Boyd; and four great-grandchildren, Levi Gaines Gentry, Brayson Tanner Boyd, Brennen Carter Boyd, and Breleigh Donna Boyd.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 9, 2026, at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Truitt. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Dean Tollison, Wayne Tollison, Levi Gaines Gentry, Brayson Tanner Boyd, Robbie Gentry, and Jack Gaston. The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Julian Garner and Kent Smith.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.
