Robert Donald “Don” Moore

Mr. Robert Donald "Don" Moore, age 85, husband of Ann Lawson Moore of 2127 Buffalo West Springs Hwy., Buffalo passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. Mr. Moore was born May 10, 1932 in Union, SC a son of the late James Ruey Moore and Minnie Sanders Moore. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired as manager from Sherwin Williams of Union. Mr. Moore was a Veteran of the South Carolina National Guard. He was a faithful member of Buffalo Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. Mr. Moore had also volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Thomas Lawson "Tommy" Moore of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Carrie Montgomery Moore of Johns Island; a daughter-in-law, Edelyn Little Moore of Jonesville; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Robert Donald "Donnie" Moore, Jr.; one brother, James Moore; and one sister, Vergia Gory. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Doug Johnson, Bruce Betenbaugh, Stanley Wells, Jimmy Clary, Carol Upton, and Jimmy Johnson. The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Dr. David Keith and staff, the Harold Lawson Sunday School of Buffalo Baptist Church, Past and Present Deacons of Buffalo Baptist Church, staff of Kindred Home Health Care. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church, P.O.
