Robert Hamilton Lawson

Mr. Robert Hamilton Lawson, age 83, husband of Betty Elaine Patterson Lawson, of 235 Countryside Dr., Pacolet, passed away, Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Lawson was born on January 25, 1942, in Chattanooga, TN, a son of the late Claude Elmer Lawson and Sarah Greer Lawson. He retired as a truck driver from Metromont. Mr. Lawson was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 65 years are a son, Wes Lawson and wife Melanie of Jonesville; a sister, Sandy Burgess of Pacolet; two grandchildren, Heather Hubbard and husband Travis and Jason Davis and wife Mandy; five grandchildren, Calli Franks, Breanna Davis, Dylan Davis, Kayla Moore, and James Hughes; and two great-great grandchildren, Malachi Smith and Anylah Smith. He was predeceased by three sisters, Patricia Price, Doris Barfield, and Claudette Lawson; a brother, Carl Morgan; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Davis.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Dylan Davis and David Sinclair.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Davis, Barry Smith, Steve Parris, Kevin Doll, David Patterson, and Ronnie Blankenship.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville, SC 29353.

The family is at the home of his son, Wes and Melanie Lawson, 211 Hames Ave., Jonesville, SC 29353.
