Robert “Squirrel Head” Caldwell

September 22, 2019 Mr. Robert Murmon "Squirrel Head" Caldwell, age 90 of 538 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, widower of Vera Carter Caldwell, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Mr. Caldwell was born in Union, SC April 17, 1929, a son of the late Fred P. Caldwell and Elsie Foster Caldwell. He retired from McCloud Steel Mill, Detroit, MI and had also worked with Lockhart Mills. Mr. Caldwell attended Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Genelle Alexander of the home and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Lockhart Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service. The family is at the home, 538 Peach Orchard Rd., Union.
