Robert C. Henestofel

Mr. Robert Carl "Bobby" Henestofel, age 72, of 141 Oak Grove Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at his home. Mr. Henestofel was born in Columbus, OH, June 12, 1947, a son of the late Richard Thomas Henestofel, Sr. and Mary Elaine Poignon Henestofel. He was a retired auto mechanic and had attended The Ohio State University. Mr. Henestofel was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Henestofel enjoyed fishing and helping others. Surviving are two sisters, Rita H. Grant of Hamilton, OH and Ruth H. Wallace with whom he made his home in Union and one brother, Raymond P. Henestofel of Chillicothe, OH. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews including Cassandra Hodge, Heather Higgins and Jeremy Toth, whom he helped raise, and several great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Thomas Henestofel, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Chaplain Martha Toney. The family will receive friends after the service at the home, 141 Oak Grove Rd., Lot 7, Union.
