Robert Allen Jones

August 27, 2015 Mr. Robert Allen Jones CW3, PA-C (Ret.), born April 16, 1944, passed away after a long illness on August 26-2015 at Open Arms in Greenville, SC. Mr. Jones gave his time and service to the Army as a Green Beret, Medical Officer and served as a Physician's Assistant. He had been actively involved with the Girl and Boy Scouts of America and the Rotary Club where he served as president in Odessa, TX. Mr. Jones is survived in mourning by his wife, Ann Boulware Jones; daughters, Ronda Robinson and husband Johnny and Robin Powser and husband Robert; grandchildren, Brittney and Cole Simms, Jaron and Audrey Powser, Sumner Robinson and Frances-Ann Robinson; three brothers, Randy Jones and wife Barbara, Walter Gene Jones and wife Dee and Ray Luther and wife Katie. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2015 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, 310 W. South St., Union, SC 29379. Burial with Military Honors will be at Union Memorial Gardens. A visitation and wake will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday evening also at the funeral home.
