Robert Lee Parker

September 2, 2018 Mr. Robert Lee Parker, age 80, husband of Teresa Roberts Parker, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home. Mr. Parker was born in Cherokee Co., September 26, 1937, a son of the late Robert A. and Mabel Workman Parker. He was retired from Schlegel Corp. in Chester and was a life long member of Lockhart Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Lockhart Masonic Lodge #244. Mr. Parker was first married to the late Ann Nichols Parker. Surviving in addition to his wife are a granddaughter, Heather Parker Bailey and husband Chad of Union; a great-granddaughter, Bobbie Bailey; two sisters, Betty Jo Spencer of York Co., and Cornelia Ertzberger of Clover; a brother, Jimmy Ray Parker of York Co. and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker was predeceased by two sons, Steve Parker and Bobby Parker; two sisters, Eunice Parkins and Libby Parker and two brothers, Oscar Parker and Frank Parker. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Delos Blanton and Rev. Sam Baine. Burial will be at Bullock's Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 408 N. Duncan ByPass, Ste. 6, Union, SC 29379 or to a charity of one's choice. The family will be at Mr. Parker's home.
