Mr. Robert Warren “Killer” Pettit, age 65, of 49 Loop, Union, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Restorative Care Hospital.

Mr. Pettit was born in Union, February 4, 1961, a son of the late Frank and Betty Jo Laxton Pettit. He was a graduate of Union High School and had retired from Piedmont Concrete. Mr. Pettit had also worked for Henderson Plumbing for 35 years. He was an avid race car fan and driver of the car “Ki11er”. Mr. Pettit was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Heather Stamey and husband Joey of Boiling Springs, and Larren Franks and husband James of Pacolet; three grandchildren, Ada Stamey, Harper Franks and Thomas Franks; two sisters, Anita Laskin and husband Howie of Jonesville, and Teresa McCall and husband Tony of Union; a special niece, Casey Felmet and husband Tommy and his fur baby, Cindy. He was predeceased by a brother, Frankie Pettit.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the doctors, nurses and staff of Spartanburg Regional Restorative Care hospital for the care given to Mr. Pettit during his illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz.

The family will be at the family home, 2854 Lockhart Hwy., Union.
