Robert Amos Stafford

Mr. Robert Amos Stafford, age 75, of 211 Bryant Rd., Pacolet, passed away Monday October 15, 2018 at his home. Mr. Stafford was born in Spartanburg, March 8, 1943, a son of the late Joseph Homer Stafford and Rosa Lee Miller Stafford. He was a retired construction worker. Surviving are his wife Valiera Smith Stafford; two daughters, Rosie Lee and Donna Stafford both of Spartanburg; two sons, Robert Jason Stafford and wife Martha of Spartanburg and Mark Wayne Stafford and wife Kimberly Lynn of Jonesville; a sister, Carolyn Beard of Pacolet and a brother, Buddy Brooks of Spartanburg; 17 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Mr. Stafford was predeceased by two infant children, Robin and "Little Man", a sister, Lillian Crawford and five brothers, Jack, Troy, Ernest, Andrew and Tom Stafford. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Pacolet United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Leon Brown. Visitation will be held immediately following the services at the graveside. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Spartanburg Regional Hospice and Stephanie Hall for their care and support of Mr. Stafford. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Robert Stafford Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 211 Bryant Rd., Pacolet.
