Robert E. Vinson, Sr.

Mr. Robert E. Vinson, Sr., age 81, widower of Hazel Roberta Vinson of 125 Pineland Ave., Union, passed away, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Vinson was born in Union, February 6, 1939, a son of the late Robert Ryan Vinson and Cynthia Louise Lawson Vinson. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Virginia Chemical in Chester. Mr. Vinson was a former member of the S.C. National Guard and was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Rhonda Vinson Tuttle and husband Scott of Macon, MO, Kristi Vinson, and Heather Smith and husband Rico all of Jonesville; two sons, Robert E. Vinson, Jr. and wife Missy and Kevin Vinson and wife Anitra all of Union; a sister, Mary Ellen William of Forest City, NC; a brother, Donnie Vinson of Union; eight granddaughters, Jadea Tuttle, Andrea Black, Layla Smith, Ryder Smith, Brooklyn Stevens, Alyssa Vinson, Emily Bustos and Bethany Vinson; and three grandsons, Caleb Tuttle, Joshua Tuttle and Ryan Vinson.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
