Roberta Horne Stepp

January 7, 2020 Mrs. Roberta Horne Stepp, age 83, of 127 C Street, Jonesville, widow of Joe Thomas Stepp Sr., passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Stepp was born on July 11, 1936 in Jonesville, a daughter of the late Foster E. Horne and Eloise Barnett Horne. Mrs. Stepp was a graduate of Jonesville High and Cecil's Business College. She retired from J. P. Stevens after 30 years. She was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she helped with Sunday School and G.A.'s. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Stepp Switzer of Spartanburg and Amanda Rapson, of Union; two sons, Joe T. Stepp, Jr. and wife Pam of Jonesville and Eric Foster Stepp and wife Megan of Pacolet; eight grandchildren, Tyler Switzer, Cheyenne Stepp, Zaydah Stepp, Sydney Rapson, Savedge Stepp, Xavier Rapson, Esylam Stepp, and Maveric Stepp; and a special friend, Mike Ivey. She was predeceased by a baby sister, Patricia Ann Horne. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Scott Cannon and Rev. Rex Keaton. The following are asked to form the honorary escort, Neil Burnett, Walter Thomas, Dale Wynn, and Wayne Comer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel.
