Roger ‘Waynie’ Hucks Union, Sc

Mr. Roger Wayne "Waynie" Hucks, age 59 of 610 Toney Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Mr. Hucks was born in Union, July 21, 1955, a son of the late Willard W. Hucks, Sr. and Ada Johnson Hucks Keasler. He was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed in the construction industry. Surviving are a sister, Tanya "Lulu" H. Sanford, with whom he made his home; his companion, Wanda Ward of Union; a daughter, Hedi Dietz of Charleston and two grandchildren. Mr. Hucks was predeceased by two brothers, Tommy Hucks and Willard "Snowball" Hucks. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2015 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott and Rev. Tommy Mann. The family will receive friends immediately following the services. Memorials may be made to the Roger Wayne "Waynie" Hucks Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 610 Toney Rd., Union.
