Roger L. Knox

Mr. Roger Lee Knox, age 66 of 301 2nd St., Union, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center after an extended illness.

Mr. Knox was born in Union, October 3, 1956, a son of the late George Henry Knox and Christine Sweeze Knox. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken and Company. Mr. Knox was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his life partner, Sara Ellis of the home; two brothers, Lyndell Knox and wife Barbara of Jonesville, and Brent Knox and wife Gena of Union; several step-children including a special step-son Tim Ferrell; four nieces, Tracey Knox Turner, Amy Knox, Christie Knox Jett, and Katie Knox and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Neil Keisler. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 until 3:30PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the services.

The family will be at their respective homes.
