Ronald Aubrey Garner

Mr. Ronald Aubrey "Ronnie" Garner, age 67, of 443 Gist Bridge Rd., Buffalo, husband of Tammy Adams Garner, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.

Mr. Garner was born in Union, June 26, 1956, a son of the late James Aubrey and Ophelia Mize Garner. He was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Mon-Aetna Baptist Church where he held many positions; he served as Deacon, Vacation Bible School worker, worker with AWANA, and Men's Ministry cook.  Mr. Garner retired from the SCDOT after thirty years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Michael Garner and wife Suzy of Union; a daughter, Stacy Garner McAbee and husband, Thom of Union; a sister, Diane Garner Youngblood and husband Terry of Jonesville; a stepson, Brandon Williams of Union; grandchildren, Hayden Garner and Houston Garner; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Mr. Garner was predeceased by Beverly Darlene Stines Garner, mother of his son Michael and daughter Stacy.

The family would like to especially thank all of Ronnie's nurses, doctors, and care team members at Restorative Care for their support and compassion. Much love and appreciation is also extended to Dudley and Hazel Adams and Lindy and Lynn Wicker for their unwavering love and friendship.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mon-Aetna Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Benny Green, and Rev. Bob Cato. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers will be Marshall Bogan, Phil Garner, Van Garner, Jason Childers, Craig Lancaster, Lindy Wicker, Phil Owings, Kevin Youngblood, Cory West, and Rob Crocker.

Visitation will be held Monday night, July 10, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the SR Holcombe Funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Mon-Aetna Baptist Church Men's Ministry, 1431 Lockhart Hwy Union, SC 29379.

The family will be at the home.
