February 4, 2016 Mr. Ronnie Elbert Knox, age 74, husband of Revonda Walker Knox of 209 Spruce Street, Union, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Knox was born in Union, March 25, 1941, a son of the late John "Smiley" Knox and Sibbie Eaves Knox. He was a graduate of Union High School and was a retired self-employed paint contractor. Mr. Knox was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he was a volunteer with the Channel of Blessings Food Pantry and was also a Shriner. Surviving in addition to his wife of fifteen years are a son, Rodney Todd Knox of Florence; a daughter, Kristie Knox Weatherly (Jason) of Greenville; a step-daughter, Dana Silva of Shelby, NC; a step-son, Darren Newton (Kandace) of Shelby, NC; seven grandchildren: Dustin Hopkins, and Blaine, Ethan and Gavin Weatherly, Abbee Rea Newton, Parker Newton and Chase Gillis; three sisters, Sis Kerr, Mary Jo Baldwin and Linda Holland. Mr. Knox was predeceased by a son, Ronnie E. "Todd" Knox, Jr., three sisters, Rachel Lawson, Lona Mae Davis and Thelma Camby and three brothers, Bill Knox, Jack Knox and Dick Knox. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2016 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Neil Keisler. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Channel of Blessings % Trinity Baptist Church, 309 Barnado Rd., Union, SC 29379.
