Ronnie Gene Lawson

Mr. Ronnie Gene Lawson of 461 Bailey Rd., Buffalo, age 79, widower of Cora Ann Pruitt Lawson, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at his home. Mr. Lawson was born in Spartanburg, SC (Mt. Lebanon Community) January 26, 1939, a son of the late George W. Lawson and Maebelle Simmons Lawson. He retired from Duke Power and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Mr. Lawson was the last surviving member of twelve children. Surviving are a daughter, Rhonda Stevens and husband Tim of West Springs; two sons: Joey Lawson and wife Holly and Ray Lawson all of Buffalo; a sister-in-law, Joanne Lawson of Pauline; four grandchildren: Andrea Stevens and husband Clay, Zachary Lawson, Jordan Lawson and Delaney Lawson; a great-grandson, Traveller Stevens-Vaughn and a great-granddaughter on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Melvin Shelton. Mr. Lawson's nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:30 PM Wednesday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2153 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, SC 29321. The family is at the home of his daughter, Rhonda and Tim Stevens, 8008 Hwy 215, Pauline, SC 29374.
