Roy A. Cornelison, Jr.

Mr. Roy A. Cornelison, Jr., age 67, husband of Elizabeth Jean Cornelison, of 307 Adams Lake Rd., Union, passed away, Monday, August 25, 2025.

Mr. Cornelison was born May 26, 1958, a son of the late Roy Cornelison, Sr. and Marie Queen Cornelison.  He was a 1977 graduate of Union High School and retired from truck driving, prior to that he worked for over 20 years at Carlisle Finishing Plant, many of those years as a Supervisor in the Screen Printing Department.  Mr. Cornelison was a member of Salem Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing and drag racing.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 48 years are two children, Angel Cornelison Sanders and husband Robert of Union and Roy "Trey" Cornelison, III and wife Laura of Union; a sister, Terry Sinclair and husband Dennis of Greenwood; five grandchildren, R.J. Sanders, Jason Sanders, Kaitlyn Cornelison, Landon Johnson, and Addison Cornelison; an "adopted" daughter, Christie Davis and an "adopted" granddaughter, Kassidy Fowler.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 29, 2025 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by R.J. Sanders and Pastor Roger Shuford.  Visitation will be held immediately following the services in the Church.  The family ask those in attendance to dress casually.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Sanders, R.J. Sanders, Jason Sanders, Landon Johnson, Devan Cribbs and Bobby Nichols.
