Ruby Viola Bragg

Mrs. Ruby Viola Bragg, age 88, of 605 Toney Rd., Union, widow of Paul E. Bragg, passed away October 30, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bragg was born August 1, 1929 in Rockyford, GA a daughter of the late Reginald Brunson and Viola Daughtry. She was retired from Union County Schools having worked at Buffalo Elementary School. Mrs. Bragg was a member of Glory Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Rumph of Union and Judy Wells of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Brandy Rochester, Richie Wade, Terry Trantham, Tommy O'Shields, Brian Wells, Jr., and Kimalee Wells; seven great-grandchildren, Davis Rochester, Kinsleigh Wade, Ricky Wade, Dustin Trantham, Kyle Trantham, Matthew O'Shields, and Casey Leith; and six great-great-granchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Betty Howell; four sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held, 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Glory Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Lee Franklin. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bragg's grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Wednesday prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Glory Baptist Church, P.O. Box 178, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Brandy Rochester, 100 Cedar St., Union, SC 29379.
