Ruby Jeanette Duckett

July 28, 2015 Mrs. Ruby Jeanette Eaves Duckett, age 82 of 406 West Hillcrest Avenue, Union, widow of Raymond Duckett, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mrs. Duckett was born in Union, SC October 23, 1932, a daughter of the late Charlie Eaves and O'Dell Turner Eaves. She was retired from United Merchants-Buffalo Plant and was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Kingsmore; two sons: Larry Duckett and wife Janice and Ricky Duckett; two sisters: Avanelle Pettit and husband David and Kathrine Briggs and husband Roy; seven grandchildren: Tyler Kingsmore, Jessika Wood, Bryce Duckett, Brett Duckett, Chris Duckett, Clayton Duckett and Jill Maness; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Shirley Gregory. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2015 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Tony Pettit. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Andy Pettit, Tommy Inman, Clayton Duckett, Tim Pettit, Trevor Duckett and Colton Duckett. Honorary pallbearers will be Amanda Kirby, Brad Weaver, Kasey Trammell, Winston Wood and Keith Davis. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 PM Wednesday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. The family would like to say a special thank you to Wallace Thomson Hospital, Heartland of Union and Dr. Robert Yannetti for their care and concern of Mrs. Duckett during her illness. The family is at the home of her daughter, Linda Kingsmore, 510 T. Bishop Rd., Jonesville, SC 29353.
