October 27, 2017 Mrs. Ruby Heatherly Fowler, age 81, wife of Clarence Odean Fowler of 118 East Forest Drive, Union, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Mrs. Fowler was born in West Springs, SC August 14, 1936, a daughter of the late Harley D. Heatherly and Geneva Henson Heatherly. She retired from Milliken & Company - Monarch Plant and had previously worked at Ottaray Plant. Mrs. Fowler was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two granddaughters: Laura F. Watson and husband Trenton of St. Louis, MO and Elizabeth F. Thompson and husband Josh of Spartanburg; a daughter-in-law, Karen M. Fowler of Buffalo; sister, Mary Ellen Moore of Union; two brothers: Ed Heatherly and wife Carol and Martin Heatherly; a sister-in-law, Deanna Heatherly all of Buffalo; four great-grandchildren: Caleb F. Thompson, R. Tate Thompson, Simon D. Watson and Ruby B. Watson. Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by a son, Darrell D. Fowler. The family has scheduled a private memorial service.
