Mrs. Rudy Vinson Harris, age 93, of 1510 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, widow of Robert Marshall Harris, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 12, 2014. Mrs. Harris was born in Union, June 6, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph "Tiny" Vinson and Mamie Vinson. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Harris was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Harris and Sherry H. Hodge and special friend Ronnie Green all of Union, and Judy Phillips and husband Don of Dallas, TX; two sons; Joseph T. "Joe" Harris and wife Sarah of Union and Danny D. Harris of the home; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Harris was predeceased by two sons, John R. Harris and Paul Kenneth Harris and a granddaughter, Melissa Hope Harris. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Monday, December 15, 2014 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Glenn Ribelin and Rev. Robert Branch. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Larry Belue, Wayne Belue, Neil Belue, Stanley Gallman, David Baldwin and Dennis Belue. The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Floyd "Stump" Heatherly, L.C. Johnson, Jimmy Belue, Don Sawyer, Mike Scales, Larry Tyler, Johnny Gregory and Jack Jennings. Visitation will be held at the home, 1510 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 PM.
