Ruby Blackwell Hodge

Mrs. Ruby Blackwell Hodge, age 91, of 180 Robinson Farm Rd., Jonesville, widow of Donald C. Hodge, Sr., passed away, November 13, 2025, at Union Post Acute Care.

Mrs. Hodge was born September 21, 1934, in Union, a daughter of the late William Thomas “Willie” Blackwell and Bertie Ivey Blackwell. She graduated from Jonesville High School. Mrs. Hodge retired from Wallace Thomson Hospital and had previously worked at Dr. Scott’s Office in Jonesville. She was a member of Gilead Baptist Church.

Surviving is a son, Donald “Clay” Hodge, Jr. of Union; a brother, Greer Blackwell, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Hodge; three sisters, Lucille B. Harvey, Mable B. Genoble, and Myrtis Blackwell and three brothers, Grady P. Blackwell, Archie Blackwell, and Charles Blackwell and a niece, Wendy Raimondis.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Randy Burgess. The family will receive friends after the service.
