Ruby Mae Jones

Mrs. Ruby Mae Jones, age 93, formerly of Lockhart, SC., widow of Henry Thomas Jones, passed away, Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Mrs. Jones was born in Lockhart, May 25, 1923 a daughter of the late Rev. Ernest C. and Roxie Brooks Rash. She was a faithful member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where she had served as organist prior to moving to Greenville. Surviving are a son, Thomas M. Jones and wife Jo Ann; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Mary Ellen Sprouse and husband Sam and a brother Paul Rash and wife Yvonne all of Lockhart. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Steve Lemons. The family will receive friends at the chapel immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookdale Hospice, 25 Woods Lake Rd. Suite 405, Greenville, SC 29607 or to a charity of one's choice.
