Russell Seymore

Mr. Russell Seymore, age 83, husband of Geraldine Fleming Seymore, of 68 Kelly Lane, Whitmire, SC passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his home. Mr. Seymore was born April 23, 1934 in Newberry a son of the late Luther Seymore and Anna Rochester Seymore. He was a graduate of Whitmire High School and retired from J.P. Stevens, Whitmire. Mr. Seymore holds the longest membership at Bethesda Baptist Church where he was the longest serving active Deacon. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Thresa S. Vicars and husband Frank of Whitmire and Pam S. Welch and friend Chris Stokes of Santuc; and one brother, Martin Luther Seymore and wife Hattie of Union. He was predeceased by two sisters, Genola Alexander and Minnie Lou Shields. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Guy Langston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Whitmire Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family is at the home, 68 Kelly Lane, Whitmire, SC 29178.
