Ruth (Farmer) Belue

Ruth Farmer Belue, widow of Harold Belue, received her angel wings, Sunday, February 12, 2023.  Born September 25, 1941, to the late Aileen Brown and Robert Farmer.

Along with being a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend she was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.  She served as Sunday School Support and Secretary at Lockhart United Methodist Church and was also Youth Leader and a Sunday School Teacher.  She was a coach for t-ball and girls softball for Lockhart Dixie Youth Baseball.  She was last employed by Jordan's Hot Spot in Lockhart as Assistant Manager and Meat Cutter.

She is survived by a daughter, Mechelle Wells Maness Ellis and husband Fran; four grandchildren, Christina Maness (Tyler) of Spartanburg, John Dylan Maness (Ashley) of Union, Jarrod Maness of Union, Gracye Ferguson of Union; ten grandchildren; a brother, Eddie Farmer (Maxine); two special nieces, Kathy Wilbanks (Ted) and Alisha Wade (Chris); and a special nephew, Jamie Waters (Allison).  She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Farmer Waters.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Philippi Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Robert Scott and Rev. Brad Goodale.  Burial will follow at Lockhart Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Knox, Cody Vaughan, Chris Wilbanks, John Dillion Maness, Tyler Page and Jarrod Maness.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses of Ellen Sagar Nursing Home and to Spartanburg Regional Hospice.
