Ruth Ann (Tapp) West

Mrs. Ruth Ann Tapp West, age 76 of 193 Pine Creek Drive, Spartanburg, widow of Albert Gregg, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. West was born April 6, 1948 in Spartanburg, a daughter of the late Jerome Tharon Tapp and Agnes Inez Couch Tapp.  She was a retired textile worker.  Mrs. West was a member of New Beginnings Church of Pacolet.

Surviving are four daughters, Sheila Branch and husband Richard of Chesnee, Sarah Moore and husband Tony of Woodruff, Pam Satterfield and husband David of Roebuck, and Kathy Ford and husband Titus of Roebuck; three sons, Danny Gregg and wife Becky of Spartanburg, Tim Gregg and wife Tracy of Spartanburg, and James Gregg and wife Amy of Cowpens; three sisters, Betty Laws of Clinton, Loretta Tapp of Union and Angie Tapp of Union; twenty seven grandchildren and forty three great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two granddaughters, Melinda Gregg and Cathy Lea Goodwin and one grandson, Brian Abercrombie.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at New Beginnings Church in Pacolet conducted by Pastor Lisa Parfitt.  Burial will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be D.J. Gregg, Travis Gregg, Jacob Beheler, Eddie Cravey, Hunter Cauthen, and Jaleel Smith.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM prior to the services at New Beginnings Church in Pacolet.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Sheila Branch and husband Richard, 155 Harvest Moon Lane, Chesnee, SC 29323.
