Sam Edward Sealy

Mr. Sam Edward Sealy, age 85 husband of Paulette Fowler Sealy, of 1551 Neal Shoals Road, Union, went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 14, 2025 at his home.

Mr. Sealy was born February 20, 1940 a son of the late Samuel Douthard Sealy and Claudia Christina Cookson Sealy.  He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from the Grocery Store Business after 32 years and had worked at Torrington and Co.  Mr. Sealy was a Veteran of the South Carolina Army National Guard having served 21 years.  He was a member of Hillside Baptist Church where he had served as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years are a son, Steven "Zebco" Sealy and wife Heather of Union; a daughter, Irene Sealy Davis and husband Allen of Mauldin; a brother, Rev. William Sealy and wife Carolyn of Ernul, NC; two grandchildren, whom he loved dearly and enjoyed taking them places, Drake Matthew Sealy, and Audrey Christine Sealy.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, March 17, 2025 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dwayne Reuter and Rev. Glenn Mosteller.  Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Drake Sealy, Tommie Fowler, Jr., Billy Fowler, J.B. Power, John Williams, and Joe Hines.  The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, the Adult Men's Sunday School Class of Hillside Baptist Church, McConnel's Group, and Lockhart Men's Group.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
