Mr. Samuel Victor "Sam" Elliott, Sr., age 95, of 445 Riley Rd., Buffalo, widower of Jeannine Gregory Elliott, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 22, 2025.
Mr. Elliott was born in Union, November 13, 1929, a son of the late C.S. Elliott and Bertha Vess Elliott. He was a retired textile worker having worked 48years with United Merchants and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a lifelong member and the oldest living member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Mr. Elliott was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are two daughters, Penny Wilson of Moore and Stacey Kingsmore and husband Jerry of Buffalo; a son Samuel V. "Vic" Elliott, Jr. and wife Julie of Buffalo; two grandchildren, David Wilson and wife Heather, and Samuel Victor Elliott, III and girlfriend Allie Pasquini; and great grandchildren, Claire and Cate Wilson. He was predeceased by sisters, Zeelon McSwain, Mildred Snyder and Mabel Kingsmore, and brothers, Carl, Paul, Rudy, and Mack Elliott.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to Spartanburg Regional Hospice for the care and love shown to Mr. Elliott and his family.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Doug Estes. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.
Active pallbearers will be Neal Elliott, Stanley Elliott, Mike Bostian, Mark Haney, Doug Johnson and Levi Allen.
