Mr. Samuel Grady Jones, Sr., age 72, of 106 Mabry St., Jonesville, husband of Dorothy Mae Quinn Jones, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born in Union, January 24, 1942, a son of the late William "Tom" Jones and Cleo Tessner Jones. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was a retired textile worker. Mr. Jones was of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Sammy Jones and wife Michelle of the home; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece Renee Jones Knox and husband Johnny of Jonesville; a nephew, Frankie Jones of Mayo; two brothers-in-law, Carl Quinn of York and Grover Quinn of Richbourgh. Mr. Jones was predeceased by two sons, John Paul Jones, and David "Shakey" Jones, a grandson, Codie Jones and a brother, William Isaac Jones. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Randy Burgess. Burial will be at Jonesville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Daniel Stewart, John Young, Clay Hodge, Lance Whitefield, Judie Jones, Mike Wynn and Gerald Pelham. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM also at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel. The family will be at the home, 106 Mabry St., Jonesville.
