Sara Adair Burns Lockhart, Sc

Ms. Sara Adair Burns, age 56 of 4962 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union (Lockhart community) passed away, Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her home. Ms. Burns was born in Union, January 25, 1959, a daughter of the late LeBron and Billie Rae Burns. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and the University of South Carolina, Union. Adair enjoyed working with youth and handicapped children. She had been employed with several agencies in Union Co. as a Youth Counselor. She was a member of Lockhart United Methodist Church and was an avid horse lover and a South Carolina Gamecock fan. Surviving are a sister, Melanie Burns Brewington and husband Ray of Lockhart; and cousins, Dawn Burns Knox of Union, Andy Burns and wife Jane and Darrell Burns and wife Alisha all of Spartanburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Lockhart United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Donna Eidson and Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Wednesday prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Lockhart United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 127, Lockhart, SC 29364. The family will be at their respective homes.
