March 12, 2015 Mrs. Sara Bobo Davis, age 82, widow of Robert F. Davis, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Davis was born in Sedalia, January 3, 1933, a daughter of the late Wylie Bernard Bobo and Bessie Sanders Bobo. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Mon Aetna Baptist Church Day Care after twenty-five years of service. Mrs. Davis had taught the four year olds and touched the lives of many children. She was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church where she was a member of Ann Hinkle Sunday School Class and was also a nursery worker. Mrs. Davis was a member of Woodmen of the World. Surviving are a daughter, Lynn D. Burnett and husband Dennis "Spanky" Burnett of Union; two sons: Robert Keith Davis and fiancée Lori Romano of Buffalo and Charles Lewis Davis of Woodruff; a sister, Matrel Mosley of Union; three brothers: Sam Bobo of Union, Jimmy Bobo of Spartanburg and Wayne Bobo of Union; three grandchildren: Patrick Burnett and wife Nicole of Bluffton, Paine Burnett of Union and Sera Michelle Goldie and husband Chris of Spartanburg and a great-grandchild, Harper Blair Burnett of Bluffton. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by five brothers, L.J. Bobo, Ernest Bobo, Claude Bobo, Roy Bobo and Ray Bobo. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ron Gaddy and Rev. Benny Green. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Sizemore, Ray Bobo, Bob Wilkins, Terry Bobo, Patrick Burnett and Paine Burnett. Members of the Ann Hinkle Sunday School Class, Nurses of Medi Home Hospice and the Nurses and CNAs of Heartland of Union are asked to sit in a group. Memorials may be made to the Mon Aetna Baptist Church Building Fund, 1431 Lockhart Hwy., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Lynn and Spanky Burnett, 124 Park Dr., Union.
