Sara Linda Smith

Mrs. Sara Linda Smith, age 84, widow of James Straton Smith, of 200 Catawba St., Union, passed away, Monday, May 11, 2026.

Mrs. Smith was born July 4, 1941, in Union, a daughter of the late Etheridge “Epp” Arrowood and Jeanette Tucker Arrowood. She retired from Union County Schools. Mrs. Smith was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crafts and was an avid reader. Mrs. Smith adored children, especially her grandchildren

Surviving is a daughter, Tammy Roark Fisher and her husband, Frank of Union; a son, Russell Roark III of Sumter. Mrs. Smith is also survived by grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Fisher, Maisie Fisher Verdin (Chris) and Connor Roark.

Private graveside services will be held.

Families are their respective homes.
