Sara Sinclair Vinson

Mrs. Sara Sinclair Vinson of Brown's Creek Rd., Union, widow of William (Jack) Vinson, joined her spouse at the foot of Jesus on October 25, 2022. Sara was born in Union, April 14, 1931, to the late Jefferson Davis Sinclair and Florette Smith Sinclair. Mrs. Vinson was predeceased by her four brothers Wilson (Dickie) Sinclair, Earl (Dorothy) Sinclair, Murl (Mary) Sinclair, and Melvin (Hortense) Sinclair, two sisters, Dora (Marion) Steen, and Emma (Harold) Mitchell, and was the last surviving Sinclair of her generation., and infant son Vinson.

Mrs. Vinson is survived by her daughter, Brenda Vinson (Jimmy) Reid, of Myrtle Beach, and W. Wayne Vinson and special friend, Patsy Gibson, of Union.

MaMa, as she was affectionately known, was predeceased by her Granddaughter, Monica Lorraine Vinson, of Gaffney, and is survived by her Granddaughters, Angela Elaine Reid, Sandy Lorraine (Chuck Stephens) Reid, Paige Reid (Josh) Raszman, of Myrtle Beach, and Timothy W. (Celia) Vinson, of Gaffney. Mrs. Vinson is survived by her furbaby, "Pearl," and her long time friend and the mother of Timmy and Monica, Robbi Poole.

She has 11 Grandchildren, Aliyah, Kyle, Kayla, Chad (Ashley), Allison (Bronson), Cayden, Eden, Gabriel, Jaxson, and Michael, and 7 Great Grandchildren, Gracie, Shandi, Kyleigh, Bayleigh, JC, CJ, Cade, and Abbey. Additionally, Mrs. Vinson is survived by many nieces and nephews of both the Sinclair and Vinson Families.

Mrs. Vinson worked for Monarch Mill and retired from Wallace Thomson Hospital in 1996. She regularly attended Church at Fairview Baptist for many, many years, where she was an active member, until she was unable to participate any further and continued attending three times per week when possible.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jeff Dean. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the services. Burial will be at Brown's Creek Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Russell Sinclair, Timmy Vinson, Chad Wix, Stan Vinson, Bill Steen, Gene Berry, and Robin Duckett. Members of Fairview Baptist Church are asked to sit in a group as honorary pallbearers.
