Sarah H. Baine

Mrs. Sarah Haney Baine, age 82 of 6836 Lockhart Hwy, Sharon, widow of Paul M. Baine, Sr. went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday August 30, 2017. Mrs. Baine was born in Tennessee, January 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Carl and Della Wyatt Haney. Mrs. Baine was of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving are a son, Samuel Baine, Sr. and wife Lisa of Sharon; a daughter, Paulette Duke and husband Gerald of Gaffney; a sister, Gertie Holt of Newport, TN; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baine was predeceased by a daughter, Ellen Baine Blake, a son, Paul Melton Baine, Jr.; a great-grandson, Cole Smith; two sisters, Ruby Keisler and Dorothy Monyham and three brothers, Doyle Haney, Carl Haney Jr. and Charles Everette Haney. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Pm Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by her grandson, Rev. Sam Baine, Jr. Burial will be at Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Samuel Paul Baine, III, Lee Blanton, Jason Alexander, Brian Breakfield and Darryl Baine. Honorary Pallbearer will be Hugh Baine. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Providence Care Hospice, 114 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730 or to the Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church, 126 Askew Circle, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 6836 Lockhart Hwy., Sharon, SC.
