Sarah O. Harris

Sarah O. Harris Union, SC Mrs. Sarah Ochiltree Harris, age 70, wife of Joseph Harris of 1518 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Harris was born in Union, February 15, 1944, a daughter of the late Edward Hayes Ochiltree and Willie Frances Chalk Ochiltree. She was retired from Torrington Co., and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Harris was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband of 54 years is a son, Joey D. Harris and wife Mary; two daughters, Donna H. Ford and husband Roger and Leigh Anne Harris all of Union; one brother, Mack Ochiltree and wife Charlotte of Buffalo; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Harris was predeceased by a sister, Ginger O. Parkins, and two brothers, Larry Ochiltree and Clarence Ochiltree. Memorials services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Glenn Ribelin. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Thursday in the chapel prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1622 Kelly Rd., Union, SC 29379 or to the Union Co. Humane Society, 218 N. Pinckney St., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 1518 Peach Orchard Rd., Union.
