Schelle Green

Dr. Schelle McMakin Green, age 79 of Terry Dr., Union, widow of Donald Green, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at her home.

Dr. Green was born in Union, December 13, 1942, a daughter of the late John and Rosa Lee Stroud McMakin. She was a 1969 graduate of Union High School and continued her education until receiving a PhD in Philosophy in 1990. She was a retired teacher having taught at Union High School. Dr. Green was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving is a daughter, Kimberly Green of the home. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Green and three brothers, Jim McMakin, Jerry McMakin and Wallace McMakin.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
