Shelby Jean Helton

Mrs. Shelby Jean Helton, age 83, of Pacolet Mills, widow of Carroll "Ed" Helton, passed away August 26, 2021 at her home after a long illness with dementia.

Mrs. Helton was born in Spartanburg Co., February 4, 1938, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Jeanette Pettit Ellison. She was quiet, sweet, thoughtful, and generous. She loved her family, enjoyed music, dancing, movies and going on family cruises. Mrs. Helton was graduate of Pacolet High School and a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Helton was a proud mother of two children: a son, Michael Helton and wife Nellie of North Carolina and their children, Crystal Helton, and Melissa Rodenberg; and a daughter, Debra A. Helton and her daughter, Tiffany Helton. Her great-grandchildren are Piper and Addie of North Carolina, Karissa, Brianna, Kaley, and Haley all of Pacolet.
