Shelvia Crocker Willard

Mrs. Shelvia Crocker Willard, age 78 of 2001 Bellamy Rd., Conway, SC, widow of Griffin Tally Willard, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Conway Medical Center. Mrs. Willard was born in Spartanburg County, SC July 6, 1938, a daughter of the late John Louie Crocker and Ruby Burgess Crocker. She was a retired textile worker. Surviving are two daughters: Kathy Ryan and husband Tom of Charlotte, NC and Sheena James and husband Chris of Conway, SC; two sons: Griffin Ray Willard and wife Jeanne of Fountain Inn, SC and Dennis Earl Willard and wife Sally of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Phyllis Stines of Union; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs Willard was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Brown. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Chris Gulledge. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Andy Willard, Anthony Willard, D.J. Willard, Jacob James, Kenneth Smith and Chris James. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family is at the home of her sister, Phyllis Stines, 214 Old Shetley Place, Union.
