Shirley Lawson Green

Mrs. Shirley Lawson Green "Mama Shirley", age 87, of 128 E. Forest Dr., Union, widow of Carol E. Green, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Green was born in Whitmire, October 16, 1935, a daughter of the late Willie E. and Lucille Bates Lawson. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Welcome Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Ginger Crisp, and a son, Everette Green both of Union; a brother, Wayne Lawson and wife Glenda of Union; five grandchildren: Heather Crawford and husband Jeff, Jill Green, Jeffrey Wright, Amanda Green and John Reif and wife Ramona; seven great-grandchildren, Jay Crawford and wife Hillary, Jenna Hess and husband Jamie, Haleigh Babb, Mary Beth Babb, Jayci Wright, Jon Thomas Wright and Charlotte Reif; three great-great grandchildren, IlaJae Scarborough, Jettson Scarborough and Oliver Morris and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Randy Green and two brothers, Kenneth Warren Lawson and Bobby Everette Lawson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2022 at Welcome Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Jarvis. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at Welcome Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Jay Crawford, Jamie Hess, Jeffrey Wright, Jon Thomas Wright, Lance Davis and Lee Davis. The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Terry Green and Mark Lawson.
