Mrs. Shirley Hendrix Ham, age 84, of 1817 Jonesville Hwy., Union, widow of Paul Ham, Jr., passed away, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center.
Mrs. Ham was born June 28, 1936 in Union, a daughter of the late Julius Sloane Hendrix and Lona Mae Martin Hendrix. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken & Co.—Monarch Plant. Mrs. Ham was a member of the Union Church of Christ where she had previously taught Sunday School for many years.
Surviving are one son, Barry Ham of Union; three grandchildren, Justin Ham, Brooke Ham, and Brandy Ham; four great-grandchildren, Kyra Ham, Graycen Ham, Kiley Ham, and Jace Stemple; a sister, Phyllis Stanley and husband John of Ontario, Canada; and two sisters-in-law, Ann Hendrix and Dot Bobo both of Union. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Scott Ham, two brothers, and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Mr. David Foster. Due to current health crisis, the family request that those in attendance follow COVID-19 Guidelines. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff of Ellen Sagar Nursing Home for their love and care of Mrs. Ham during her illness.
